Meet the Absa Small Business Friday featured Small Business of the week – Fashion Centre.
Fashion Centre sells school wear and is a men’s outfitters which sells branded clothing. This family-owned business started with Ebrahim Hattia’s dad and grandad and was successfully taken over by him and his wife. They have been in business for many years.
They have a passion for sales and customers. They enjoy building relationships with the customers who come through their doors. When it comes to challenges, which are inevitable, they believe it is important to remain strong in adversity. By having a positive mindset, you can overcome challenges and continue to grow. It is also important to remain on top of the innovation in the industry you operate in to remain relevant.
Ebrahim and his wife enjoy what they do. They have a passion and drive for selling clothing. But most importantly, they have a greater purpose and that is to uplift the community they live in. They have a sports programme in their community and enjoy seeing the kids grow and prosper in a positive environment despite all the challenges that the children face. Furthermore, Fashion Centre creates job opportunities in rural areas which help to build and uplift the communities to greater heights.
By supporting small businesses like Fashion Centre. The public helps them to drive the economy forward, remain resilient during tough times, and create job opportunities in remote areas.
