2016 National Small Business Survey reveals SME’s resilience despite economic strain

Despite a tough economic environment, 92% of small businesses in South Africa actively plan to increase their customer base and generate more sales over the next 12 months. This is just one of the findings from the 2016 National Small Business Survey released by the National Small Business Chamber (NSBC). “Results from the 2016 National Small Business Survey show the continued resilience of South African SMEs in the face of economic challenges. The annual survey canvassed more than 17 950 small businesses throughout the country, providing valuable insight into current trends and sentiments in the sector,” notes Mike Anderson, NSBC founder and CEO.
